Moreno Ferlat grew up among the hills of Collio, in Friuli Venezia Giulia in the north-east of Italy, the land of wine. When he was a child, he loved to play in the vineyards, smelling the scent of freshly cut grass, admiring the colors of the landscape in autumn, running on the snow in winter.
In this way Moreno learnt the secrets of nature, thanks to his father Silvano, winemaker in the family winery since 1950.
Moreno decided to become a winemaker and to exploit his land through the authenticity of the native vineyards. Moreno produces great autochtonous wines such as Friulano, Pinot Grigio, Malvasia. The terroir is marked and predominant. These are great and complex wines, never dull, that need time to express themselves at their best.
Thanks to this philosophy, Moreno gives a significant contribution to the winery. He has been able to pick up the job his father taught him, giving it a new look, combining tradition and innovation.
