The grapes used to prepare Granarijs are the last to be harvested at the end of October. The careful choice of the grapes is the secret of this wine, refined blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese. In the cellar Rio Maggio makes a classic Bordolese vinification; then the wine is aged in oak barrels and in the wood for other 12-14 months.
The name "Granarijs" comes from "Mons Granarijs", the grain storage that the local inhabitants used to implant to supply the legions during the Roman Empire.
A ruby red wine, bright, harmonious and persistent at the palate with notes of berries that capture your senses at first sip.

Sangiovese, Montepulciano
