Tenuta Monte Gorna is situated on the Southeast side of Mt. Etna Park at an altitude of 760 metres. On this volcanic soil, rich of organic and mineral substances, Etna Bianco DOC is produced with a traditional and manual method, with a limited use of pesticides, respecting the values of organic agriculture. After crushing, the carefully selected white grapes are cold-macerated for 24 hours, followed by a soft pressing. The juice obtained after a 48-hour period of static decantation is fermented in steel tanks for about a month at a controlled temperature. The maturation is in steel tanks for 3 months on the fine lees.
Intense and complex, Etna Bianco DOC from Tenuta Monte Gorna tells effectively the concept of wine of volcanoes. The strong minerality on the nose and the unexpected freshness in the mouth make it an amazing wine.
