A new event dedicated to food & wine pairing with Az. Agr. Ferlat and our sommelier
During the first two years of activity we have organized special wine tastings. We like very much this kind of events, and we saw that you love them too! Your great participation in the past editions made us very proud. For this reason we decided to propose you a new wine tasting in Hostaria al Fari Vecjo via Grazzano 78, Udine on Thursday, June 16.
A night to discover the world of wine in an original and pragmatic way; a moment to drink a glass of good wine and eat typical food with your friends, to meet new people that share the same passion for wine and cuisine. So...don’t wait, there are only few available seats!
In the first editions the main protagonist was wine, precisely Friulian wines by our winemaker Marco Cecchini. This time there is a new winemaker: Azienda Agricola Ferlat from Cormons.
This evening will be dedicated to food & wine pairing. Our winemaker Moreno Ferlat and our sommelier Matteo will teach you how wine is made and they will give you their suggestions about the best food and wine paring. Fish, meat, delicate or strong flavors, each dish, beyond the personal taste, can be matched to a specific kind of wine.
This event will be host in our town, Udine, where people used to go to the typical taverns to drink a "taj" (literally "cut", a glass of wine).
Hostaria al Fari Vecjo is situated in via Grazzano, in the oldest part of Udine; the restaurant is structured like it was in the past, it is elegant but familiar at the same time; you can still notice the large supporting beams inside the Hostaria. Going there is having a trip in the past: you can imagine a father and a son that drink together some wine, chatting with the innkeeper. A place between past and present, perfect to taste some excellent Friulian wine with us.
